Reading Challenges

Welcome to The Dusty Bookshelf Challenge!

It has been my own personal challenge for the past two years to read all those books that I bought and never read, so I thought I’d give it a cute badge and a name so others can join me!  I thought of the name because some of my books have been sitting on my shelf for a loooong time – and they are collecting a lot of dust.  So the older and dustier the book, the better!  If you’re really ambitious, you can add how long the book had been sitting on your shelf before you actually read it. I designed the badge, but I’d like to thank Shabby Blogs for the cute notebook element!

Challenge Guidelines:

1. Anyone can join. You don’t need a blog to participate – just leave your progress in the comments.

2. There are four levels:

~Pixie Dust – Read 5 books

~Dust Bunny – Read 10 books

~Cobwebs – Read 15 books

~Grungy – Read 20+ books

3. All genres count and your list can be rearranged and added to as much as you like.

4. Challenge ends on December 31, 2011

5. Fill out the form below if you’re posting your progress on a blog.  Include the direct link URL to the post where you’ll be doing the challenge so others can follow along.

Thanks for joining!

I’m joining this challenge! Great idea – most of the old books on my shelves that I haven’t read yet are research books that I’ve wanted to read but haven’t. But it will definitely be good for me to read those in addition to the few fiction novels I have sitting around!
